Franklin County has announced a restructuring initiative in the Public Works Department in response to the evolving needs of the county. Welton has been with Franklin County for 30 years and previously served as the Road & Bridge Superintendent. He is known for his exceptional character and brings extensive knowledge and hands-on experience to this new role.

Joining Welton in this new leadership team are Rusty Taul and Justin McCurdy. Taul, a familiar face within the organization with 24 years of service, has been promoted to Road & Bridge Maintenance Superintendent. According to the county, his years of experience, strong work ethic, and reliability made him the perfect fit for the position.
