Major changes are coming to the A.C.T. College Admissions Exam in the spring, that actually makes it easier, due in part because students scores have dropped for six straight years .
Science is being removed from the A.C.T.’s core sections, leaving english, reading and math as the portions that will result in a college-reportable composite score ranging from 1 to 36, the science section, like the A.C.T.’s writing section already was, will be optional. Only about 21% met all four benchmarks in english, reading, math and science.
