The Franklin County Commission has a seat open in the upcoming election. Third District Commissioner Roy Dunn has announced he will not seek reelection. Three candidates have filed for the sear. One of those is Shawn Turner. He says the most frequent concern he hears from people is the condition of the county roads. However, there is a close second…property taxes. He say with the houses selling for ridiculous prices the past year, home values have been affected across the board.
The other two candidates for the county commission seat are Sabrina Meader and John Marconette.
