The Franklin County Commission has a seat open in the upcoming election. Third District Commissioner Roy Dunn has announced he will not seek reelection. Three candidates have filed for the seat. One of those is John Marconette. He says the most frequent concern he hears from people is the condition of the county roads, property taxes, and a third they are concerned about is education. He says we need mentors in the schools.
The other two candidates for the county commission seat are Sabrina Meader and Shawn Turner.
