The preliminary hearing for one of two suspects arrested in the murder of an Ottawa man, in Princeton will be in Franklin County District Court today. Franklin County Attorney Brandon Jones:
Forty-one-year-old Timothy Corn was arrested in January of this year for allegedly having a hand in the killing of 42-year-old Nathan Boggs. Deputies responded to 1805 John Brown Road near Princeton, after gunfire was reported. They found Boggs, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving measures Boggs died at the scene. Corn, along with 33-year old Jessica Smith, of Ottawa, were arrested for first degree murder and interference with law enforcement. Corn’s hearing is scheduled for 9:00 this morning, July 24, and could last all day as prosecutors present their evidence. Smith is scheduled for a status conference for her role in the case on August 12.
