The 2024 Anderson County Fair will crank up tomorrow, with 4-H pre-fair judging at 8:30 that morning in the community building. This will include clothing, visual arts, fiber arts and photography. At 9, geology judging will take place in the County Annex and the fashion revue will be in the community building. The annual horse show will be held on sunday, scheduled for an 8 a.m. start time with check-in at 7:30. Monday, will be the time to enter exhibits for judging beginning at 1 that afternoon. Beginning at 5, the entering and weighing of animals will take place. Also on monday, the prestigious Tammy Egidy cookie jars will be on display in the community building. The bake sale is at 5 and weigh in for all market sheep, meat goats and swine will take place during that time also. Entries for poultry and rabbits from 5 to 8 and the market beef weigh in is from 6 to 8. The fair hits it’s stride on Tuesday with the swine, rabbit and poultry shows. As the Anderson County Fair Parade takes place, this year’s parade theme is “Stars, Stripes, and Anderson County Fair Nights”. Right after, the ever popular Pedal Tractor Pull, followed by the Ranch Rodeo at 8 and the 4-H Fashion Revue and Awards.
