This week’s heat is expected to be the most intense of the summer season, and if you’re a farmer or any kind of outdoor worker, you need to be prepared. Some important things to remember.
Especially water. Kansas State University Health and Safety Educator Dee Jepson says drink at least one cup of water every 20 minutes.
Also, wear the lightest, loosest fitting light colored clothing possible, and if you like ball caps, here’s a suggestion: instead, wear a hat with at least a three inch brim all the way around.
Please take extra precautions this week if you work outside.
