The race is on for who will represent Miami County in District 12 Kansas House of Representatives. Incumbent Cary Tyson will face off against Republican challenger Stetson Kern, of Pleasanton in the August 6th primary. The winner will be on the ballot in the November 5th general election along with Libertarian candidate Cullene Lang of Paola. Tyson says her work experience education, and legislative experience make her the best candidate in this race. She sat the legislature got quite a few things done this year, particularly with taxes.
Stetson says his top priority will be income taxes and taxes in general. He says he feels and has the same struggles that he hears from a lot of people and understands their frustration about taxes, inflation, child care costs and availability, and term limits, and he believes American land should be owned by American citizens only.
