Miami County voters, by a narrow margin, chose incumbent George Pretz, to continue as District 3, Osawatomie Commissioner, by a count of 341 votes to Rusty Gerken’s 333 votes. He will be unopposed in the General Election.
In the Miami County Register of Deeds Race, Jamie Homrighausen was chosen by voters. She will also be unopposed in the November Election. She rolled over challenger Bertha Lawson 2,737 votes to 527
The Miami County Clerks position was open and voters selected Laura Epps by a count of 2,432 to 857 over Shay Hanysak. Epps will have her name on the ballot in November with Libertarian candidate Eric Lund of Paola.
Voters overwhelmingly chose Kenton Hardin as the candidate for Miami County Attorney. He won over Fredereck Meier by a vote count of 2,735 to 460.
