If you have ever driven through the intersection of Second and Locust Street in Ottawa, you know how bad it is. It’s almost legendary for the big dip it has. But, recently, that dip has become more of a giant speed bump, as the middle of the intersection has raised significantly. All that is coming to and end soon. Starting today, August 28th, the city of Ottawa will be replacing that intersection. The street will be down to one lane going east and west. Also, the 100 block of South Locust will be closed to through traffic this week. Starting September 3rd, the 200 block oF South Locust will close to through traffic.
City officials ask that drivers use extra caution, as there will be equipment and workers in the area.
