AdventHealth Ottawa has announced that Chief Operating Officer Doug Rich has received the “Heart Of Health Care” award from the Kansas Hospital Association. The award highlights hospital employees who have made significant contributions to the betterment of their hospital and have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
Advent officials say Rich is interwoven with everything that happens at AdventHealth Ottawa and is never too busy to roll up his sleeves and help someone, whether that be carrying a heavy load or escorting a patient or visitor to where they need to go. He has also hosted tours of the Ottawa Hospital to members of congress, sharing the importance of medicare programs to the Ottawa community. He has also helped increase services, including leading the construction efforts of AdventHealth Ottawa Health Park at 9th and Main. He was also instrumental in expanding the emergency department and the construction of the new ER in 2017. Congratulations Doug!
