The Kansas State Department of Education has responded to the potential threats received by many Kansas schools over the course of the last couple weeks. While the huge majority of those threats were found to be not credible, KSDE Director of Safe & Secure Schools, John Calvert, says anytime a school has a potential threat, the Kansas Department of Education has a plan to keep students safe:
In Kansas, all school are required to do at least three crisis drill a year to prepare students and teachers for a worse case scenario. Calvert says it is most important for kids to remember…if you see something, say something.
