The Ottawa Police Department has a complex plan in place every year for the Ol’ Mary River Run Car Show and Cruise Night. They can’t do it without help. They have officers from 8 outside agencies that come in and help, many providing bike patrol teams that provide help throughout the area, plus many city departments and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office come together to provide help. Cars should start arriving at Forest Park this evening. Cruise night will be Saturday night from 6:00 to 9:00 in Downtown Ottawa.
As a reminder, all cars will need to be moved before Cruise night. Those that are not, will be towed to Kansas State Bank, at no charge to the owner.
