One issue affecting Kansas farmers and, probably all consumers, is what is really in their food. The annual Legislative Dinner and tour at Sylvester Ranch sponsored by the Franklin County Farm Bureau drew farmers, legislators and other officials for a discussion session. State Representative Rebecca Schmoe said she gets quite a few calls from people concerned what may be added to their beef.
Schmoe says she also gets many calls from people concerned about chemicals added to their food when food items are processed for market.
