The Ottawa Memorial Auditorium has a history of being the home of, shall we say, otherworldly activities. Spirits of people who have met untimely deaths both in and around the auditorium are said to haunt the building. Ottawa Memorial Auditorium and the Franklin County Historical Society are partnering to take investigators behind the scenes at OMA to confirm or refute stories of ghosts in the historic auditorium.

Two guided ghost hunts will be offered. The first October 25th. It’s called Stage Fright and will include a history of the auditorium presented by FCHS Executive Director Diana Staresinic-Deane, guided access to public and backstage spaces for investigations, and an end-of-evening gathering to discuss findings. Stage Fright is recommended for ages 14 and up. It is a fundraiser for the auditorium and the historical society. Cost of the program will be $50.

The second program will be Boos and Brew on October 26th. We’ll have more on both programs soon. Contact the auditorium or the Old Depot Museum for ticket information.
