The annual Ottawa High School Wall of Honor Induction Ceremony was held last night, September 26th and as always, there were some moving presentations. One honoree was Chris Wasser, who graduated in 2001, then joined the Marine Corps. Wasser was killed in Iraq in 2004 by a roadside bomb. His father, Scott Wasser, accepted the honor in his place. He spoke about a plaque received after his death:
Other honorees were Gary Brockus who graduated in 1974 and Trent Lancaster who graduated in 1984.
