Will marijuana be legalized in Kansas any time soon? The question is… will the topic even come up in the next session of the Kansas Legislature. Many people are hoping so, in some form or another. One of those is Barry Grissom, a member of the Cannabis Justice Coalition, who expresses hope for broader discussions on the subject when lawmakers reconvene next year.
During the 2024 Legislative Session, lawmakers considered a bill that would establish a highly regulated five-year pilot program for sales of medical marijuana. The bill received a hearing in a Senate committee, but was promptly tabled until 2025.
