The Franklin County Commission recognized October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, saying that domestic violence is one of the most underreported crimes in America. County Clerk Janet Paddock presented some staggering statistics:
Maggie Bornholdt, Assistant Director of Rural Services for Willow Domestic Violence Center accepted the proclamation, saying Willow considers domestic violence a National health crisis. They take it very seriously and they appreciate all the county commission does to support them.
