Cooking fires are the most common type of house fire in the United States. We need to have some type of fire suppression close by just in case there is a fire. Ottawa Fire Department Risk Reduction Coordinator, Captain Mike Wilson, says you may be tempted to extinguish the fire the traditional way, with water, but, that’s not a good idea:
