A status conference will be held tomorrow, November 21st, for Christopher Hassel. He is charged with 1st degree murder and aggravated burglary. Forty-eight year-old Christopher Hassell was charged in late October of 2023, after Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the home of 64-year-old Mark Ambler, of Williamsburg, who was found deceased in the residence.
Hassell allegedly broke into Ambler’s home while he was there to commit a felony and/or a theft. The complaint also alleges that Hassell intentionally killed Ambler with premeditation. Hassell is scheduled to appear in person at the hearing tomorrow, which is scheduled for 11:00 in the morning.
