Skunks! It’s that time of year again when our odorous friends are out and about, and you have probably seen one or two in your neighborhood. If not, that stringent aroma has probably graced your nostrils a few times. Many people, or their pets, have had a not so pleasant encounter with a skunk. What do you do if you, or a pert, gets sprayed–how do you get the stench out? Retired K-State Extension Wildlife Specialist, Charlie Lee, has a proven formula:
Lee adds that it is important to not mix the solution in advance, because as the oxygen is released, it may cause the container to explode. Hopefully you won’t have a nasty encounter with pepe-le-pew this year!
