The City of Ottawa will begin the second phase of their tree trimming operation today. December 2nd, city crews will begin trimming trees on the north side of town. The tree trimming will be along main roads and in residential areas. You can expected temporary disruptions to traffic in certain areas. The city is urging motorists to use extra caution in driving to make sure workers and residents stay safe. There will be safety precautions in place for both workers and residents. Also, door knockers will be placed at residents affected. Ottawa city officials say that this is an ongoing project and could take a couple months depending on the weather. The city appreciates your patience and cooperation during this important maintenance work as they work to keep tree limbs away from power lines as much as possible in the winter months.
