The Parker Ave and 6th Street intersection in Osawatomie has reopened, restoring northbound and southbound access from Parker to the overpass. However, the Lincoln Avenue connection to 6th Street is closed as crews begin the final phase of its reconstruction. Concrete work for the remainder of this intersection is planned for today, November 26th. Westbound travelers are encouraged to use Parker to access the overpass while Lincoln is closed.

The Main Street intersection closed yesterday to allow for pavement removal and concrete replacement. This work is scheduled to conclude with a concrete pour tomorrow, weather permitting. If strength tests confirm the intersection’s readiness, it is expected to reopen on December 2nd. Meanwhile, the Brown intersection reopened yesterday, reconnecting north-south traffic from Brown to Kelly. Crews will be working on sidewalks and curbs for the next three to four weeks.

The city would also like to remind all residents to respect construction barriers, and stay off new cement.
