You have your bags packed, car inspected and ready to run a clean trip to grandmas this Thanksgiving. What are your forgetting. Here are some things you might want to make sure you have packed for the trip, an emergency kit, if you will. First pre-program your cell phone with rescue apps and important phone numbers, just in case; and, of course remember your charger. In the kit you should have drinking water, a fully stocked first aid kit, snacks for humans and your pets, a snow shovel, because, you never know this time of year. Throw in some sand or cat litter for traction also.
Don’t forget blankets, extra warm clothing, like hat’s gloves and scarves. A flashlight with extra batteries can come in handy, also, extra window washer solvent . Don’t forget your ice scraper and brush and a good set of jumper cables, along with some emergency flares. Don’t forget that basic tool kit with screwdrivers, pliers and wrenches.
Finally, whew… you are ready to hit the road to grandmas. Oh and a reminder from local law enforcement, please don’t drink and drive, stay sober and arrive alive.
