There might be more young people caught up in what is called “Sextortion” than you realize. “Sextortion” is generally defined as convincing a victim to send a nude photo of themselves, then demanding they pay hundreds of dollars or else the criminal will spread the photo to family and friends. Detective Evan Curtis of the Lawrence Police Department says the covid pandemic really launched the problem because of everyone being at home.
