Another cold case homicide in Franklin County involves an 8 year old boy. Charles Jeffrey Hahner was reported missing to the Ottawa Police Department on July 13th 1976. He was last seen at the Forest Park swimming pool that afternoon around 4:00. On June 26th of 1978, remains and clothing matching what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance were found southwest of Princeton. Though it was over 50 years ago, authorities believe that someone out there knows what happened and wish they would come forward.
