Winter is coming on quickly and a good coat is important to not only staying warm when you are outside, but also staying healthy. Good food, like chili, is also essential in that process. What if you could get a free coat and free chili all at the same time and in the same place. You can! Today, December 13th, the Blessing Box Foundation has teamed with the Cherry Street Wesleyan Church to offer free coats and chili to people in need. All the coats are new or very slightly used and have been dry cleaned. The coats, along with quarts of delicious chili will be given away at the Cherry Street Wesleyan Church from 11:00 to 3:00. Organizers say there is also a limited supply of winter gear such as hots, gloves, scarves available also.
So, if you are in need of a coat for the winter and would like to fill your tummy with some delicious chili, head on over to the Cherry Street Wesleyan Church at 933 North Cherry.
