The Osage County Sheriff’s office had a huge save recently. They actually may have saved Christmas. Deputies captured the Grinch who was stealing toys meant for kids in need. The toys, collected for Operation Christmas for Kids, were recovered in time to continue the cherished tradition. The Grinch, held in custody, even lent a hand in carrying the toys. This is the fifth annual event. Help House Director, Scott Perkins:

Sheriff Chris Wells says they were overwhelmed this year with toys, calling it the largest ever. First responders from the Sheriff’s office, EMS, Kansas Highway Patrol and fire units filled two ambulances and a couple of fire trucks stuffed full of gifts, given by individuals and local businesses. The toys were given to organizations, E-Cat in Osage City and Help House in Lyndon.
