Charles William Pinneo age 84 of Osawatomie, KS died Friday December 6, 2024 at Vintage Park of Osawatomie. 

Charlie was born October 10, 1940 in Osawatomie, KS. He was the ninth of ten children born to Lyman William and Ollie Katherine (Wingfield) Pinneo. He grew up and attended school in Osawatomie, graduating with the Osawatomie High School Class of 1958. 

Right out of high school, Charlie went to work at the Osawatomie State Hospital. He started as an aide and worked his way up to Activity Therapist. After 35 years, Charlie retired in 1993.

Charlie loved golfing at the Osawatomie Golf Course. During the week, you could find him on the golf course. Charlie also enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and was an avid reader. In his younger years, he was on a bowling league and played softball. Charlie never went back to work after retirement but he was always willing to help his friends by delivering flowers or working on vending machines. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge in Osawatomie. 

In 1960, Charlie and Sierra Darst were united in marriage. Together they had two boys; Kevin and Brian. Then in 1965, Sierra passed away. In May of 1966, Charlie and Kathie Best were married in Miami, OK. To this union came two children; Ellen and Jeff. The marriage later ended in divorce. 

Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Sierra Pinneo, his parents, and 6 brothers: Richard, Obadiah, Harold, Raymond, Carl, Roy 2 sisters: Betty Annabelle, Doris Jean.

Survivors include his children; Kevin (Cheryl) Pinneo of Alabaster, AL, Brian (Brigitte) Pinneoof Osawatomie, KS, Ellen (Bob) Alcorn of Osawatomie, KS and Jeff (Wendy) Pinneo of Rantoul, KS, one sister Mary Ellen Dick of Wichita, KS and five grandchildren; Sarah, Emily, Hunter, Tyler and Teryn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family and many friends.
