The Ottawa Library sponsored a Festival of Wreathes, home-made wreath contest and they were on display during the month of December and at the end, the wreaths were auctioned off to the highest bidder. One of those wreathes has found a new home in Ottawa…..Ottawa, Canada, that is. The wreathe was created by Therese Hohl. The woman who won the wreathe, bid on it mistakenly, believing she was corresponding with the Ottawa Library in Ottawa Canada.

The wreathe was carefully packed an shipped to her door. She says it arrived last night, December 22nd and is the wreath of her dreams. Her children have sung the 12 Days of Christmas a few times already, pointing out the corresponding parts on the wreath which has the 12 days theme. She says it will be proudly hung above their fireplace for years and years of enjoyment.

It is fairly common for people in the Ottawa Canada area to make comments on websites and social media pages from Ottawa…Kansas. No worries, all of us here in Ottawa, wish all those in Ottawa Canada a Merry Christmas
