The potential sale of Proximity Park to Lightfield Energy has taken center stage since it was announced at last week’s City Commission meeting. At that meeting, company representative Billy Sorenson, who grew up in the Kansas City area, and says they have seen the need for growth in the need of more data center and technology campus resources with the growth of artificial intelligence all across the country and thinks Ottawa is the perfect fit:
Lightfield would like to break ground on their project in 2025 and says initially they could employ up to 100 people, and will work with area schools to train potential new employees.
