We have a snow removal update from the City of Ottawa. We all know that the street and utilities crews have been working hard since before the storm started this past weekend, pretreating streets in anticipation. The past 48 hours have been especially taxing, working tirelessly all day, and all night, to plow the main thoroughfares in town and haul snow from the downtown areas. After finishing snow removal on main street yesterday, January 6th, they headed home for some much-needed rest. Today, they will return in full force to continue the hauling process.

Worried about your street being plowed? Another crew was plowing on the residential streets on the north and south sides of town. And they will resume those efforts today. It’s easy to sit back and complain about streets or power outages, but, there are dozens of hard working men and women out there working hard to keep the power on and the streets open for you. City officials say they appreciate your patience as their crews work hard to clear the streets and ensure safe travel for everyone.
