Lynda Lee Diediker age 81 of Osawatomie, KS died Tuesday December 31, 2024 at Miami County Medical Center.
Lynda was born May 5, 1943 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was the younger of two daughters born to Charles Donald and Helen Margaret (Ebach) McCombs. She grew up and attended school in San Diego, California. Graduating from Mission Bay Senior High in 1961.
In 1967, Lynda met a Navy man by the name of John LaVerne Diediker. The couple were married on August 14th, 1969. Shortly after being married, Lynda and John moved to Osawatomie, Kansas where they made their home. Lynda and John raised four children, Joseph Lee, Steven Charles, John Edward and Ann Renee.
Lynda was a stay at home mom and house wife until the children were in school. She then went to work for King Radio for a number of years. Lynda then started working for Willard’s IGA, later known as Moon’s IGA, as a cashier. After over 15 years, Lynda retired.
In her free time, Lynda liked to crochet, cross stitch and making baby quilts. Lynda enjoyed spending time with their family and going to the grandkids sporting events. Lynda was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, a lifetime member of the VFW women’s auxiliary, Olathe Sportsman’s Club, Demolay’s and Jobe’s daughters. Lynda was the official score keeper at the baseball fields in Osawatomie for a number of years. In her younger years, before she met John, Lynda rode with the Hell’s Angels. Lynda loved her family fiercely, she was stubborn, and an avid precious moment collector, a camping lover, she adored her kittens and puppies. The latest one being Bandit.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ruth Walker and one grandson John Garett Diediker.
Survivors include; husband of 55 years, John of the home, children; Joseph (Kendra Weston) Diediker, Steven (Nettie) Diediker, John (Lisa) Diediker and Renee (Jeff Pearce) Haag. Twelve grandchildren; Shana Diediker, Charles (Michelle) Diediker, Timothy (Katie) Diediker, Natalia (Tyler) Daniels, Tabatha (Derrick) Brewer, Ashley (Travis) Hayes, Katie Diediker, Kitana (Kyler) Parscale, Haylee (Brec) Rogers, Tara (Jamilyn) Haag, Gracie Diediker and Mattie Diediker, 15 great grandchildren; CJ, Aleah, Mya, and Mary Diediker, Emma Diediker, Jack and Garett Daniels, Lillith and Jameson Brewer, Waylon and Laynee Hayes, Kaylee Rae Diediker, Koraline Parscale, Fallyn Rogers and Cooper Wayne Diediker.
