Master Police Officer for the Ottawa Police Department Larabe Alexander has been chosen to represent Kansas at the International Special Olympics Torch Run and Winter Games in Turin Italy later this month. He has been involved in Special Olympics for over 20 years and he says what hooked him forever was a medal ceremony at the Kansas Special Olympics in Wichita in 2012:
Alexander will leave a week from tomorrow,February 22st, heading to Greece for the Torch Lighting Ceremony. From there, to Rome, where the Pope will bless the torch, and then to Turin Italy for the opening ceremonies of the World Special Olympics Winter Games.
