Miami County Treasurer Tricia Lee told Miami County Commissioners last week that if security upgrades aren’t made at the tax office and motor vehicle department, she would not fully invest county funds. Lee said she has been asking for her safety concerns to be addressed for three years but instead has watched as security upgrades were made at the Miami County Clerk’s office and the Court Clerk’s office at the Miami County Courthouse:
Commissioners unanimously agreed to issue a request for qualifications, know as an RFQ, to determine the design and cost of installing security upgrades and possibly combining the two departments together on one floor at the Miami County Administration Building. Lee agreed to continue to invest the county’s money. Last year, she reports making a considerable amount for the county.
