When it was announced in late December that Lightfield Energy was buying all of Proximity Park to build a power plant and date processing center, officials with that company told city commissioners that they would like to start construction within 2025. So far, things are going well. Franklin County Development Director Paul Bean says they are interested in area companies that may be able to help them:
It has long been thought that once Panasonic got close to being in production, other subsidiary companies would be looking for space to build in the area, and having that connection is important.
