A man who many describe as a local aviation legend, will be honored by the FFA on Thursday, February 27th. Chuck LeMaster will be awarded the Wright Brothers Pilot Award for having 50 years or more of flying with no accidents. Chuck turned 93 in January. He has been flying 76 years! He has owned many famous airplanes in his time. One of those being a 1929 Ford Trimotor, which he bought to help with his spraying of cities in the 1960’s. Little did he know that the plane would be popular everywhere he stopped as he flew it home. He says after a couple years, people still wanted to take rides in the plane, so he took a chance and had seats installed in it:

The ceremony for the Wright Brothers Award will be held Thursday at noon at the Ottawa Municipal Airport. The public is invited.
