Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies were busy the past couple days. First, Monday afternoon, February 24th, just after 4:00, deputies attempted to make a traffic stop of a group of motorcyclists traveling at a high rate of speed. Two of the drivers fled and one stopped. Eighteen-year-old Braden Hemel of Eudora was cited for speeding and reckless driving. The other two were contacted at a gas station before one decided to flee again. Eighteen-year-old Anthony Grisafe, of Berryton, was cited for speeding, reckless driving and no tag. Felony charges for fleeing and eluding will be sent to the County Attorney’s Office for possible prosecution. The third suspect, identified as 18-year-old Collie Grey, of Eudora faces charges of fleeing and eluding, those charges were sent to the County Attorney’s office also.

Yesterday morning, February 25th, just before 6:00, 82-year old Mary Adcock, of Pomona was attempting to turn east bound onto Labette when she went into a ditch, causing her car to roll on its side. She was take to AdventHealth Ottawa for treatment of minor injuries.
