The Ottawa Main Street Association has had a good year and is growing and expanding . They are also encouraging downtown businesses to improve their buildings and providing an avenue for them to do so. Director Sarah Stauffer says the Incentives Without Walls is a loan program that started back in the ’90’s, and Ottawa is fortunate to still have access to the funding:
She added that they loaned out over $40,000 last year alone and see more loans for downtown businesses coming this year. One side note, Stauffer says that the Whoville and Grinch promotion for the Christmas season garnered over 100,000 views on social media.
