
A high wind warning remains in effect until noon today for Franklin, Anderson, Douglas and Osage Counties, and until 6:00 tonight for Miami and Linn Counties in the KOFO listening area. The Winter Weather Advisory and the blizzard warning for Douglas County have been allowed to expire.
The strong winds that continue to blow through the area this morning have left behind a string of power outages. As of 4:30 this morning, Evergy reports over 3,000 customer without power in the Lawrence area. Nearly 4,000 just south of Olathe, also 87 customers in the Ottawa area, as well as other south and east of town. Those outage numbers increase dramatically in the Kansas City area. Also, Four Rivers reports 24 outages in Franklin County. There have been scattered reports of outages in the city of Ottawa, however, as of about 2:15 this morning, city crews report that power was restored.
