The past few days have been designated as “no burn” days in Franklin County. In the county, you can get a permit to do a burn, on days that are safe. But, what if you are in town, can you burn? Yes. But, you have to get a permit from the from department. Captain Ike Wilson explains that the wind has to be under 8 miles per hour:
He adds that burn permits in town can only be used to burn brush, and yard debris and not trash of any kind.
