The Ottawa Cty Commission will meet Wednesday and they have quite a full agenda. One item on that agenda is a request for funding for tornado siren upgrades and expansion. City Manager, Brian Silcott, says Ottawa currently has nine sirens, but with the rapid expansion of the city to the south, more are needed:
Other items on the agenda include an update on the golf course from General Manager Rob Mylnar, and a sublease agreement with Dobson Aviation for hanger facilities at the Ottawa Municipal Airport. The meeting will be held at City Hall at 4:00 tomorrow afternoon, March 26th, and will be live streamed on the City of Ottawa’s facebook page and youtube channel.
