USD 367 School Board members have finalized the details of a $20 million School Bond issue that will be proposed to voters during a special election Tuesday, June 3rd.

Projects under the proposed bond would include $1.2 million to Trojan Elementary for upgrading the boiler, repairing the roof, creating secure entrances and upgrading playgrounds. At Osawatomie Middle School, nearly $800,000 for upgrading the boiler, installing new terminal variable air volume boxes, and repairing the roof. At the high school, over $11 million for remodeling three science rooms, remodeling restrooms and making them ADA compliant, upgrading the auditorium (stage, seating, lights, curtains, audio), replacing windows, replacing doors and locks, replacing 23-year-old chiller units, replacing the boiler that is original from when the school was built in 1968, replacing hydronic piping, replacing air handling units, upgrading electrical service, repairing the roof, replacing the ceilings and upgrading the sewer main.

District wide, about $6.5 million for replacing the existing track at OHS, upgrading it, installing new concrete where needed, and, upgrading HVAC controls.
