Marcia “Janet” Cochran, 91, formerly of Greensburg and South Hutchinson, Kansas died Sunday, April 21, 2024 in Garnett, Kansas.
She was born November 13, 1932 in Ulysses, Kansas the daughter of C.R. and Velma (Imhoff) Snodgrass.
On November 24, 1950, Janet was united in marriage to Johnny Lee Cochran in Dodge City, Kansas. They shared 57 years of loving marriage until his passing on August 6, 2008.
Janet was the bookkeeper for Cochran Oil Company, which she and Johnny owned and operated in Greensburg, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, C.R. and Velma Snodgrass; her husband, Johnny Cochran; and her brother, R.G. Snodgrass.
She is survived by two daughters, Cary Jones of Coldwater, KS and Stacy (Albert) Imel of Princeton, KS; two granddaughters, Ashli (Jamie) Miller of Longmont, CO and Tenley Wallace of Gregory, TX; and three great-grandchildren, Tagen, Sadie, and Johnny.
The family will gather in remembrance at a later date.
