He owned and operated successful beauty salons for 20 years in Ottawa, including locations in Baldwin City and Wellsville. Always an entrepreneur, he brought a Daylight Donut franchise to Ottawa

James Wright, Mound City, Kansas passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024. He was born in DeWitt, Missouri and graduated from Brunswick High School. James served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as an equipment operator for several construction companies. Topeka – Terry Russell Fields, 71, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on November 19, 1952, in Onaga, Kansas, the son of Roscoe and Viola (Baker) Fields. Terry grew up in Onaga and Havensville, had lived in Hot Springs, Arkansas, but had lived in Topeka for over 45 years. He graduated from Onaga High School in 1970. Terry served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1971 to 1973.
