TOPEKA — Kansas teachers have some homework for their students. They want students from the fourth grade through senior to write letters to authors telling them how they changed the students’ view of the world. The Kansas Mational Education Association will give cash awards to winning essays in March. The letters can be to any author, living or dead. E-mail the essays to readingessays@knea.org by Feb. 1.
