WELDA — A trucker was injured early Wednesday morning when his semi-truck ran into a ditch and hit a tree along U.S. 169 south of Welda in Anderson County. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Thomas Raymond Staggs, 47, Hartford became ill and passed out and the truck crossed the highway and ran into the ditch. He was taken to Anderson County Hospital in Garnett.
