COLONY — The Crest school board has cut the high school golf program. Superintendent Lee Jones said it will likely be the first of many cuts to come. Cutting golf will save Crest $8,000, he said. The state cut $48,000 in school funding for Crest. Jones said he expects even more cuts before the end of the school year. The worst case scenario is $178,000 which would be catastrophic for the school, he said. Everything is on the table and that includes cutting teachers, he said.
