OTTAWA — Although it’s still unofficial, Ottawa schools will likely have a good increase in the number of students enrolled. Although families are still coming and going Supt. Dean Katt said he’s figuring the district is ahead by a little more than 35 students from last year. The biggest increase are in elementary schools, he said. Future Visions is still enrolling, but Katt said the enrollment should equal that of last year’s. School districts receive increased state education funds for having more students, so the larger numbers would mean more money for Ottawa.
