OTTAWA — A fire at a house in the 300 block of South Locust was prevented by some fast switch-flipping Sunday night. Ottawa Fire Chief Jeff Carner said an alert resident reacted immediately and shut off the breakers. There was no damage and an electrician was summoned to the scene, Carner said.
